Learning For Life
At Market Field, we have an assembly every day, whether it be a themed values assembly in the hall (Mondays), Key Stage Assembly (Tues), singing assembly (Friday pm - Juniors) or a class assembly in individual classrooms. During our assemblies we have time to reflect, discuss and learn about the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning such as bullying, setting goals, our values or our feelings.
We also celebrate our achievements in school during our Friday morning celebration assembly, where children are presented with special ‘star of the week’ certificates or merits from their teachers for behaviour or wonderful work they have done. The pupil in each class each term with the most merit points wins the coveted merit cup which is awarded in the last assembly of each term. House Dojo points are also counted up and the leading house is announced in assembly.
Our assembly rota for this term is below. Please feel free to discuss the theme for the week with your child before assembly – we aim to be as interactive as possible during the assemblies!
