Learning For Life
On a Friday afternoon, our pupils throughout the Primary school and Key Stage 3 have an hour ‘off’ timetable to participate in activities which interest them and which enable them to express themselves and to gain a sense of achievement.
Pupils choose an activity half termly and are encouraged to choose from a diverse range on offer. Currently the offer in the Primary phase (Golden Time) includes Arts and Crafts, Soft play, scooters and trikes, playing within the classrooms or activities based on the Interactive Whiteboard. In the Senior school (Reward Time) the activities on offer include swimming, cooking, computing, film club, out and about trip and multisport.
This is linked to the school positive behaviour policy. If a child has missed work during the week because of their behaviour, they will be expected to make up the work before joining their chosen group.
