Welcome to year 7!

Year 7 marks the starting point for the transition from primary to senior education. Much of our focus is on ensuring that this is a smooth process for our students, whether they already attend Market Field, or are joining us from another setting.  

In our classes, we uphold and promote the school values of ‘Respect, Excellence and Friendship’ and encourage the same of our students. We advocate tolerance and kindness and our classroom is warm and welcoming. We aim to make learning accessible to all of our pupils by providing challenging and engaging activities to accommodate a range of learning styles.  

7S and 7B offer opportunities to develop new friendships, along with team-building skills and self-confidence. We actively encourage the students in our care to develop their resilience and independence, alongside teaching practical life skills such as cooking and road safety, which we regularly incorporate into our timetable.
