Within year 8, children are exposed to more problem-solving and independent learning skills as part of their curriculum. Formal learning continues through Maths, English, Science, Humanities, PE, Art and Food Technology.

Away from formal learning, there is an emphasis on understanding our sense of self as we become teenagers, thinking about the changes to our bodies through life skills and hygiene sessions and opportunities to build self esteem.

'Safe risk' is explored through adventurous activity on Forest School trips.
